Although 'Spykerklip' and 'Drievis' is separate, stand alone and fully equipped self catering facilities, it is also integrated with the main house and at special request, the hosts are prepared to facilitate the guests with typical South African foods like 'potjiekos', bobotie, freshly baked bread in an old style Dover stove, 'snoek' on the BBQ with sweet potatoes and when in season waterblommetjie bredie' a local delicacy and not to exclude the typical South African 'pap en wors' or a simple meat or fish barbie. A taste of local wines is also possible.
The hosts will also act as guides and sources of information on the greater Western Cape region and is willing to suggest day trips to places of interest such as one of the only mainland colonies of African Penguins in SA at nearby Betty's Bay.

'Die Rotse' Host House and Self Catering Accommodation is situated on Beach Road, Kleinmond in the Western Cape, South Africa.
Kleinmond, approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes scenic drive from Cape Town International Airport, is on the western side of Sandown Bay between the Kogelberg mountain range and the rich Benguela sea current of the Atlantic Ocean.
'Die Rotse' is a seafront property located on a peaceful cul-de-sac bordering the Nature Reserve.
A 40 meter stroll will lead you to a natural tidal swimming pool and large inter-coastal tidal zone for hours of exploring in the unique eco-system of the Kelp forest.

The main residence of your hosts, Werner and Lorraine Pauw, is a historic building with 'Landmark Status, ' known as 'Die Rotse',built in early 1910. It was totally restored under the guidance of the Overstrand Aesthetics Committee with the assistance of Being3 Architects.
In line with the look and feel of 'Die Rotse', two fully equiped 3 bedroom apartments, known as Spykerklip and Drievis makes up the rest of the complex.
